Zapatero stressed that unity is the "greatest contribution" to the end of ETA.
Madrid, July 14 .- The Prime Minister, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, has stressed today that maintaining democratic unity in the fight against terrorism is "the most effective homage to the victims of barbarism and the maximum contribution to achieving the to ETA.
In its initial intervention in the debate on the state of the nation in Congress, Zapatero has welcomed during the last year ETA, mortal gold, has followed "weakened" by the efforts and the effectiveness of the security forces of Spain, France and Portugal .
The Prime Minister has underlined that effective police organization has managed to head off "again and again" and has prevented attacks "of those who still have no other language than violence."
"I want to thank one more year, the, tera gold, efforts of all who are involved in the fight against terrorism, the cooperation of France and Portugal and the unity of all parties in the dnse of our freedoms," Zapatero proclaimed that paid tribute to the latest victims of "terrorist nonsense."
The Chief Executive has highlighted two parliamentary agreements reached in recent weeks in dnse of victims of terrorism and pursuit of ETA, sto credits, environment.
The first is the comprehensive bill to aid victims of terrorism, which updates and improves the protection of those who have been directly affected by the attacks.
The second, a report by the parliamentary groups on the reform of the electoral law which aims to increase control measures "who use democratic institutions to support terrorism."
Both policy objectives, recalled the Prime Minister, are essential for "the dignity of our society and its institutions."
